Golf course, scorecard and practice companion with local-first storage.
This policy describes the processing visible in the currently available application source and configuration.
Information processed
Locally entered profile name, email, role and club; golf courses, holes and map coordinates; scorecards, rounds, scores and practice information; app settings; course-search text; and scorecard text extracted from a selected image.
Why it is used
To maintain a local golf profile and records, find courses, import scorecards, display maps and provide optional AI-assisted scorecard extraction.
Services and disclosures
Most records are stored locally. Explicit course searches are sent to OpenStreetMap Nominatim. UK course searches use the UK Golf Course Data API through RapidAPI. When selected, recognised scorecard text or course-search prompts are sent to Google Gemini; image text recognition itself runs locally with Google ML Kit. Configured map providers may receive tile requests. ashleyrichards.tech is contacted for version and licence checks. No Firebase, analytics, crash-reporting, advertising or live-GPS SDK was detected.
Storage, retention and deletion
Local records remain until deleted in the app, app data is cleared or the app is uninstalled. Third-party requests are subject to the provider’s retention practices. The audited source does not define server retention for an optional sync provider.
Security
Access controls and authenticated connections are used where implemented by the application. No system can guarantee absolute security. Please report suspected unauthorised access using the contact address below.
Sale, advertising and tracking
The source audit found no sale of personal data and no behavioural advertising or cross-app marketing tracking. Data is disclosed only to configured service providers and business systems needed for the functions described above, or where legally required.
Children’s privacy
The application is not designed as a child-directed service. If you believe a child’s personal information has been entered without appropriate authority, contact us so the matter can be reviewed.
Your choices and rights
Authorised users may be able to view, correct or delete records in the app. For access, correction, deletion or other privacy requests, contact us. A request may need verification and may be subject to applicable law and legitimate business-record obligations.
Source-audit limitation
The settings include an optional sync-provider concept, but no active remote sync implementation was clear enough to document as current processing.
